In a previous life, Luísa Mateus was a freelance music journalist, writer and blogger.

In 2010, she moved to the big city, for a career in publishing. She worked for Daily Mail Group and Newsquest publishing divisions.

Between 2013 and 2015, she worked at Microsoft as an International Product Manager. In 2016, she worked for the Discovery Channel, launching new OTT applications for Eurosport, DMAX, TLC and Quest UK. She moved to DAZN in 2019, working on broadcast and software projects.

Luísa considers herself to be a part-time, bohemian, barefooted person. She lives in London, where her garden is full of wild plants and next door’s cats sleep under last year’s Christmas tree. She is a photographer and life-documenter on Instagram (@thebarefootwanderluster). She loves jet-setting off to far flung places, throwing a suitcase in the boot and jumping on the highway with the wind in her hair and the sun on her face. She drinks a lot of coffee, every day. She credits yoga, travel and vegetarianism for keeping her alive.
